The Being Human Experience

No matter which workshop you choose, each Being Human session follows the same thoughtfully designed learning experience. The two hours are intentionally structured to balance psychological learning, personal reflection, practical skill-building, and meaningful application.

Workshop Journey

1. Welcome & Introduction 15 min

We begin by introducing the topic, outlining what we'll explore together, and setting the tone for the workshop.

2. Understanding the Concept 30 min

Together, we'll explore the topic through a psychological lens, helping you understand not only what you're experiencing, but why.

3. Guided Reflection & Journalling 15 min

You'll have time to pause and reflect through guided questions and personal journalling. There is no expectation to share; this is an opportunity to connect the material to your own life.

4. Pause & Refresh 15 min

Take time to stretch, make a cup of tea or coffee, refill your water, and return feeling refreshed for the second half of the workshop.

5. Practical Tools & Skill Building 30 min

We'll explore practical psychological tools and strategies that you can begin applying in your everyday life. The focus is on building realistic, sustainable skills rather than quick fixes.

6. Moving Forward 15 min

We conclude by identifying one or two gentle, meaningful, and achievable steps that you can take beyond the workshop. The emphasis is on progress, not perfection.

Below you'll find the upcoming Being Human workshops, each exploring a different aspect of being human through a practical psychological lens.

Life can be complicated.

Many of us are navigating relationships, work, family responsibilities, uncertainty, anxiety, loss, and the everyday challenges of being human. Yet very few of us are ever taught how to understand our emotional lives or respond to them in helpful ways.

Being Human is a series of live online psychology workshops designed to make psychological knowledge practical, accessible, and relevant to everyday life.

Each workshop explores a different aspect of being human through a psychological lens, helping participants understand not only what they are experiencing, but why. Along the way, you'll gain practical psychological tools and skills you can apply in everyday life.

These workshops are educational and reflective rather than therapeutic. There is no expectation to share personal experiences, and participants are welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
